How to active curl on XAMPP
An article by 
Find your php.ini file (probably in xampp\apache\bin\php.ini and open it in notepad or another plain text editor
search for the line that says:
;extension=php_curl.dll
remove the semicolon from the beginning of the line.
save the file
restart apache
